Here’s our third vintage of California Cabernet from BREA Wines--a blend of two vineyard sites in Northern and Central California, with 85% coming from the Lodi AVA in the Central Valley, and 15% from the Red Hills Lake County AVA. The Lodi Cabernet, the backbone of the wine, is all done in stainless steel while the Red Hills Cabernet is aged in oak to help provide a little extra richness to the blend. Our hope with this wine is to provide something that is delicious and lower in alcohol, yet still contains some complexity without having to resort to over-ripe fruit or being over-oaked with staves/adjuncts. Our Cabernet Sauvignon is meant to be enjoyed in its youth with maybe 1 to 3 years of aging.
